Joshua 7-12

1. What are the results of doing things man's way vs. God's way?

2. What is God's part in preparing for the Israelites' destination? What is the Israelites' part?

3. How does the death of the kings point ahead to Christ's death?

4. What is the extent of the Israelites' victory of the land?

  1. When people are trusting God and following his direction, they have victory. When they give in to their own whims, desires, or sense of what is right, God knows and everyone suffers. Not just the one who sins but the whole community. Overall, largely due to the leadership of Joshua, there is a sense of victory. The kings who are shamefully defeated are all hung on trees, as Christ the King did as well.
