Exodus 9-14

1. To what extent is Pharaoh willing to sacrifice Egypt in order to divert the Israelites from their destination?

2. How strongly do the Israelites feel about their own destination?

3. What do the Egyptians and the Israelites learn about God?

  1. Only God could manage to get 600,000 Israelite slaves out of Egypt en masse. Both the Egyptians and the Israelites understand the extent of God's power as a result of this incident. It seems like a battle between God and Pharaoh, but God wins hands down and Egypt is sacrificed by Pharaoh (against his advisors wishes) as a result. Hard to believe how quickly the Israelites forget and want to go back to Egypt, but God keeps them moving back toward Israel.
