Nehemiah 1-7

1. What do you learn about leadership from Nehemiah?

2. What kind of circumstances can deter God's work from proceeding?

3. What can overcome such circumstances?

4. How can some of these principles apply in your own circumstances?

  1. One person can really make a difference. Nehemiah, after much thought and prayer, received approval from the king and went to a situation where leadership was really needed. Thinking through what was needed, the state of mind of his people, respecting their concerns, adddresses very real dangers, and relying on God throughout made Nehemiah an effective leader in difficult circumstances. We face many such situations, even if the details are completely different.
