Man's wisdom is completely different from God's wisdom. Although God's wisdom seems foolish to men, God's wisdom actually makes the wisdom of the world foolish. The competing teachings of many men just cause division and favoritism. Paul's solution is to focus on Christ alone. He points out the immaturity of those who squabble over men's wisdom.
