John 13-18

1. What are the plans Jesus has for his disciples?

2. How will they (we) find our way?

3. What does Jesus' prayer for us suggest that we will face along the way?

4. How does his own destination point ahead to what we will face?

  1. I think if I were listening to Jesus at the time, I would be just as confused (if not more) as the disciples. What is clear is that we're to follow in his footsteps, but not where he's headed. Yet the specifics don't seem to matter so much as being connected in with Jesus and the Father. It's just that, from a human perspective, I've noticed lately how much we want to know the specifics! I guess if we're headed in the direction of difficulty, we're better off in ignorance, keeping our eyes focused on Jesus rather than our surroundings.
