Acts 20-24

1. How does God's "destination" for Paul shift during this time period?

2. In what sense has Paul completed his task, and in what sense does it remain unfinished (see Acts 20:22-31)?

3. In what way is Paul's journey to Jerusalem similar to Jesus'? How is it different?

4. How does the trouble Paul faces in Jerusalem compare to the trouble he'd faced in other parts of the world?

  1. There's a pretty major shift in this section from Paul and his missionary journeys to Paul heading to Jerusalem and prison, similar in some ways to Jesus knowing his time had come. From the way Paul speaks to those who know him, he's had a forewarning that things will change for him. In fact, looking back, you can see how God is shifting him from a preaching ministry to a letter-writing ministry that will affect Christians throughout time.
