1 Peter 1-5

1. According to Peter, where does our hope lie, regardless of our circumstances?

2. How can our circumstances help us to grow even deeper in faith?

3. What should our attitudes be toward one another?

4. How should we be prepared to face difficulties?

  1. Peter bridges the gap between living in difficult, real-life circumstances that include plenty of suffering, and applying the hope of the gospel. In the midst of difficulties, he points us to the living hope of Jesus. Despite our difficulties, he points us to submitting to authorities and living for others. He cautions us not to be surprised by suffering, but to be alert as to our response in the midst of it.
