Occasionally there is a more godly king, but even those, as is pointed out, don't compare to David as a king after God's own heart. For the most part they sound awful--as bad or worse than the other nations. And it does not seem to be a coincidence that bad kings come from fathers who married with unbelieving wives, counter to God's warning. There is little or no teaching apparent concerning God's ways.
