1 Samuel 26-31

1. How do you distinguish friend from foe in this section?

2. How does God use "the enemy" for his own purposes?

3. How does God keep David from fighting his own people?

4. How does Saul's ultimate end compare to if David had taken his life when God "delivered him into David's hands" twice?

  1. It's interesting to see the hospitality, help, and friendships among those who are generally regarded as the enemy. The important thing seems to be more about participating in God's work rather than who you are or where you're from. We would do well to remember that before making judgments about people we regard as "the enemy."
