2 Kings 19-25

1. How much influence does each king have upon his country and people?

2. What impact does the word of God have on those who follow it?

3. What do you learn of God's patience and God's purposes in these chapters?

  1. It is remarkable how much influence one king, whether evil in the sight of the Lord, or following his ways, has on the people. But evil seems to carry over much easier than good. In the long run, God's punishment comes to bear on the disobedient Israelites, just as he promised, though he shows his mercy to those kings faithful to him.
