1 Kings 5-9

1. In what sense does Israel seem to have "arrived" at their destination? What's left?

2. From Solomon's prayer, what expectations seem to be in place for the Israelites as well as God?

3. How does God's grace come through in these chapters?

4. How does God affirm that he is still with his people?

  1. Solomon's reign is remarkable compared to what comes before and after. There seems to be no other explanation but God's blessing to make sense of the peace and prosperity that takes place under his wisdom.
